Minister Avcı: All of our schools shall provide full time schooling in the new term

Noting that even developments experienced in national education in the recent weeks are enough to reveal the ongoing silent revolution, Minister Avcı went on to say:

“Turkey has been experiencing a gradual silent revolution for the last decade. Let me summarize the developments experienced in the last couple of weeks: We have laid the foundation of the City Hospital in Eskişehir a week ago. As the Ministry of National Education, we have opened the second version of education and information network of the world’s largest education portal yesterday. Education Information Network is highly profitable education and information network that will claim the end of - let’s cut to the chase – private education course theft, book without banderole theft which was made in the name of offering supplementary educational material. Students are getting the opportunity to find hundreds of thousands of educational material in this site. This morning, we have signed a protocol concerning technical education cooperation with the İstanbul Chamber of Industry and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.”

Minister Avcı stated that his ministry will continue to reinforce education both in terms of content and physical infrastructure adding that, “Everyday, brand new institutions are joining our education community. We have been investing all of our resources in education in the last 13 years. The silent revolution we have prompted is going to spread with a higher speed. All of our schools will provide full time schooling in the next term. This means new schools, new school openings. We will continue to spread the joy of opening new schools to the whole of the country.”

Restoring the honor of Imam-Hatip Schools

Stressing that civilization mentality based on humanity teaches respect to human rights, Minister Avcı said:

“İmam-Hatips are educational institutions that blend traditional values, cultural richness with modern education idea and they focus on providing service to the country and its people. Unjustified attempts against İmam-Hatip schools during interim periods and times of coups are closely related to the mission of these schools and reasons of these attacks are obvious. Our projects concerning Imam-Hatip Schools aim at restoring the honor of these schools. Our education community is a whole with all of its institutions and all of our schools are providing education with the idea of serving the future of this country. As long as the normalization process in the education that we have maintained continues and as soon as we have finalized transformation programs, remarkable examples like this inauguration will increase.”

Following the speeches, Minister Avcı and Minister of Health Müezzinoğlu signed the protocol foreseeing implementation of e-pulse system in schools.

The activity ended after Minister of National Education Nabi Avcı, Minister of Health Mehmet Müezzinoğlu and Minister of Customs and Trade Cenap Aşçı cuting the ribbon when Minister Avcı played the first bell with the donators.
